Our Story: T4Youth and the Vision of Connecting Communities

In 2014, Ryan Pollock, our visionary founder and acting CRO of the Objective Partner’s companies, noticed a simple yet profound trend in tech offices around Chicago: ping pong tables. Inspired to transform this casual pastime into a community-building event, T4Youth was born – a table tennis tournament designed to connect tech professionals and support local charitable causes. From the outset, this annual event has been dedicated to benefiting Chicago-based charities, reflecting our commitment to giving back to the community that fosters the Chicago tech ecosystem. 

Today, T4Youth has grown to embody a dual mission: it continues to unite the tech community through sport, while also investing in the future of technology by supporting STEAM education for Chicago’s youth. Each year, our tournament not only promotes networking and fun but also raises significant funds for initiatives like the Chicago Tech Academy (ChiTech).

ChiTech, a non-profit, four-year contract school in University Village, focuses on inspiring, educating, and connecting the next generation of tech leaders. It aims to increase the presence of minority and low-income students in STEAM fields, ensuring they have the opportunity to pursue tech-oriented careers.

Now celebrating our 9th annual tournament, T4Youth remains a beacon of community and charity in the tech industry. By participating, you engage in more than just a game—you contribute to a vibrant future for technology and make a meaningful impact on young lives.
